Who am I?

I am a girl just like you. I have been there, I know the struggle.

One day I woke up and felt that enough was ENOUGH! It was a long and painful journey to acceptance and self love.

Once I accepted who I was, what I was capable of and the way I LOOKED, everything fell into place. I began to enjoy and treasure LIFE, FAMILY, LOVE… MYSELF.

I am GRATEFUL, I am BEAUTIFUL, I am BOLD, I am POWERFUL, I am RESILIENT.

SELF CONFIDENCE…

I have fought so many battles through my life, each and every single one of them has taught me to love myself even harder.

FIGHTER...

NEVER give up, my father taught me that. Whenever you fall, stand up stronger and even more determined to succeed.

Fashion is who YOU are! 

There is always a piece of clothing that will fit us well, that will lift us up, that will complement our sparkling personality. 

Fashion is a way of expression, a way to be free and demonstrate how special you truly are. Fashion has nothing to do with size but it has EVERYTHING to do with who YOU are!. 

It’s time to shine for who you are. You are UNIQUE!

I understand you because I am like you

To be honest never in my wildest dreams had I imagined myself sitting here writing these words.

When I embarked on this journey I knew I wanted to make a difference for women, myself included, but never imagined that three years later I was going to be able to do so many things and impact so many women, its surreal.

I went from being a size 5 - 6 to a size 24 without even noticing it, I was in my twenties when I reached almost 300 pounds!, being 5’ - 3” tall that was a LOT to carry. It took guts and fire, the process was long and painful but REWARDING.

Believe me, I know how frustrating it is to find nothing that neither fits you nor represents your uniqueness. Being in the fitting room and suddenly your inner voice screams: "This is all sooooo wrong." you may even shed a tear out of frustration or got mad because nobody has even considered dressing a woman like you and a woman like me. So the hard journey begins as we go from store to store trying to find something that fits us well and that we LOVE!

My dream, my vision my truly deepest desire was to create a place where women could feel free, comfortable and empowered, but above all, where they can let go of EVERYTHING!.

I encourage you to use your voice and shout to the world that your size doesn't matter, that BEING YOU IS AWESOME, BEING YOU IS AMAZING! BEING YOU MAKES YOU FREE!.

Until finally I found my passion

Right out of High School I got accepted in a Bachelors in Microbiology because I wanted to be a dentist; just imagine how lost I was at the time. I just never felt satisfied, because my true passion is fashion, entrepreneurship and customer service. So I decided to fight for what I wanted, I remember I was 21 and enrolled in an Associate Degree in Fashion Design at the Art Institute of Miami.

After completing my degree I moved back to PR and while deciding which would be my next move, I went in and embarked in the family business, which ended up with me enrolled in a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, I graduated and after 6 years working in our family company we had to close.

It was the hardest moment of all no job, two kids, a mortgage,and the list goes on! While my head was spinning in so many directions at the same time, I felt that a huge weight had been taken off of my shoulders, God had given me a new chance to start over and do what I truly love.

I opened FRANCISCA BTQ on October 29, 2016 and even though there are hard times I get to do what I love everyday of my life.
